"A wonderful unexpected find along our trip north on rt 1. A few miles off the main rd, paved, unpaved,paved. The owner was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. There are 3 suites in the main lodge. Ours had a private bath down the hall. The kitchen was huge and is shared by all visitors. Bring your own food and drinks. The closest food is Eastport, Calais or Lubec. Take time to enjoy a canoe or kayak trip on the local lake, few min drive through yhe woods. The lodge was clean and well maintained and the bed was so comfortable. "

"The cabin on the water was awesome. The owner has updated the space, everything is new and so very clean. The kitchen, living room, bathrooms and bedrooms were very nice. The cabin is without question one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. The views, just outstanding. We enjoyed the quiet and taking day trips to the surrounding areas. Down east Maine is just a wonderful area to explore and want to relax. In ending, we want to thank Sonja for taking care of everything and making our vacation very special. If you are looking for a great place to stay don’t hesitate book it.Thanks for everything,Alan and Polly"

"Home was beautiful and fully stocked with amenities. The gardens and beach were gorgeous. Our family and friends enjoyed the privacy and spectacular views of the water. One of the nicest rentals we've ever experienced."
"We reached Lubec at 8:30; All restaurants close early in this coastal town. Inn At the Wharf - made a salad for us even though the restaurant is closed.
The staff is friendly and the views are amazing. Try to be there for the sunset and sunrise. Eastern most tip (West Quoddy Head Lighthouse is 3.5 miles away from this hotel."
"A great home-base location to explore all downeast Maine has to offer. Local shops & Whale Watching in Eastport a quick drive away and within an hour drive to great hiking & iconic lighthouses. Then the family was able to wind down on the back porch & enjoy the view. "
