The hotel was ok, but needs updating. Our room was decorated in shades of brown which made it look quite dark and dull. The bathroom was extremely tired and dated. The old shower took a long time to heat up and the water wasn't much more than a trickle. When the toilet was flushed, the cistern clunked. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room but we weren't told about them. They were inside a drawer which we didn't open till just before leaving so didn't know they was there.
The breakfast wasn't great. My husband had the full breakfast. The sausage was poor quality and the potato cake was dense and tasteless. I had the porridge, in which I found an inch long piece of hard plastic! The waitress offered to make me more porridge but I didn't fancy it after that so had cereal instead.
The car park was right opposite the hotel which was very convenient.

Staff are amazing and hotel very clean. Hot water poor and was misinformed on enquiry regarding it. Unfortunatley and do not blame this person as new to position but we were told no hot water for couple days. Spoke to another later and explained due to hotel being quiet and old piped needed to run sink and bath taps together until hot eventually comes through. Other wise 5 stars all the way and we will definitely be back

"Cottage had everything you may need. Small welcome pack with tea/coffee/sugar/milk and shortbread for your arrival. Off road parking was a bonus. Chip shop within walking distance which was also an ice cream shop, post office and sold some groceries. Wonderful beach within walking distance too."
