"Great sign on the main road directing us to thep property. Didn't like the dirt road half mile driveway."

"This is our go-to hotel when we are driving up from MA to hike the mountains up near Rangeley, being under an hour from many trailheads. It is reliably easy/affordable/clean. Breakfast in the morning starts at 6am, convenient when you want to get on trails early. "

"Attached to the hotel is the Governor's restaurant (the pictures that show bakery items under glass). Pool and hot tub are well maintained, I see maintenance and staff all around the property from early hours until late. Grab and Go breakfast choices on par with many breakfast options from most hotel chains. Super awesome desk staff, Genn and Julie were very helpful with sites for various topics around town, and requests. "

"We stayed at The Elmwood only very briefly, en route to Cape Breton, but were very pleased with the cleanliness and comfortable bed and quiet surroundings. Due to traffic delays we arrived well after their usual office hours (7a-7p) but management had arranged to have a clerk on the desk to greet us -- we very much appreciated that above-and-beyond service."

"Beautiful spot and rooms were gorgeous. A bit of a hassel getting in as everything is done online and codes wouldnt work and we had to call twice. No staff on site, so no one to contact about towels and the burnt out lightbulb on the night stand light. Other than that it was a great place and we hope to stay again!"
