"What a fantastic place to stay! Everything about this place was just brilliant: beautiful old house and garden, sitting room for guests with open fire in the evening, great breakfast, a lovely walk down to the lake, easy to find, a short drive from Keswick, comfortable room, great host, felt welcome and at home. If I get the chance, I will be back."

"Very convenient O/N stop with a few food options at the services. Building looks a bit worn from the outside but inside room was clean and bed comfy. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. As an earlier review commented on the noise from the lorry park I was a bit concerned when I realised our room was the closest one to it. However, even though I’m a light sleeper there was no noise to be heard, so all good."

"We loved the location of the hotel, our room was very comfortable with everything we needed the decor is getting a bit tried however think the hotel is working on this, we enjoyed our daily breakfast with the option to book the night before to save a few dollars, the staff were friendly and professional especially the breakfast ladies they have a big job however we appreciated their efforts.Would highly recommended this wonderful hotel thank you."
