"This property is not fancy or newly renovated ( at least the rooms dont seem like they are) but it has everything you need, including small fridge, microwave, couch, etc. The only downside is that there is no in-room safe for laptops and such. The breakfast is pretty good, but it is continental, don't expect bacon and smoked salmon ( although you can order bacon for an extra $$) The front lobby has free coffee and water.. total bonus !"

"The hotel was decent though you can tell it hasn't aged well. The staff was great and this property would not be accessible if needed for those with wheelchairs (the elevator inside is rather small as well). The area around the hotel leaves one feeling unsafe as there are some rather unsavoury looking apartments that surround the hotel. "

"Amazing ambiance. I loved the history and antiques. Not very soundproof. Some gaps under doors Very clean and has accommodating staff. A gem in a great location of the city. I will return."

"Our room, a penthouse view (partially obstructed) of Halifax harbor was great. The street is undergoing a revival and had some construction in evidence that was less than attractive. "
