"Great Place to relax"
This is a great place to get away from it all. The grounds are great and the oak creek stream is very beautiful and a great Vista. The newly renovated pool and spa is very large and well done. Our room was very nice as well.. It may be a bit older in terms of the most modern but it was very comfortable with a TV sitting area kitchen and separate bedroom and bath also had a small veranda were you can sit outside and enjoy a beverage and fresh air. The historical background also adds value to the overall experience..

"Very nice place"
We had a ground level room with a small patio off the pool which was perfect. The direct access to the pool for the kids with the patio gate with room key lock couldn't have been more convenient. In the evening after the kids were sleeping we were able to enjoy a drink on the patio. Would stay here again if we returned to Sedona.

"Personable staff, great pool for kids, nice vibe"
We enjoyed our stay here a lot. The staff are incredibly nice. The hotel is hip but also incredibly kid friendly. Excellent food (but don't order the calamari as it's mostly frisée with tiny quantity of calamari.) Our room was large but so dark - it was a bummer. Darkly painted brown/taupe walls. Pool is ideal for young kids and also pretty/restful for grown ups, single, couples or parents. Gorgeous setting. Resort fee is a joke - they should just raise their rates and be transparent about it. Hotel will run you anywhere in town which is nice. Staff are clearly happy & treated well.

"Unique, Quirky Hotel"
My wife and enjoyed six nights in the Country Gardens suite at this hotel and we were quite pleased with it. I don't want this review to sound negative because our experience was very positive overall, but in fairness to those who might read this, my review must include some caveats. On the plus side, our suite was exceptionally roomy and comfortable - great bed and jacuzzi tub, for example. The staff was quite friendly and accommodating and the made-to-order breakfasts were excellent. Although I believe we got a bit of a deal by booking through Expedia, the reader should be aware that your room selection will be made by the hotel if you book through a third party, whereas you can select a specific room if you book directly with the hotel. Since each room has a very unique design, this may be important. Although I admire the dedication to detail in the themed decor, some might consider it a bit over-the-top or kitschy. And although it didn't matter much to us under the circumstances, the grounds are small, and views and amenities are limited. If you expect a resort with a bar, full-time restaurants, expansive spa and on-site recreation opportunities, this isn't it. That said, it is a lovely, interesting place, and serves as a good launchpad to the many other pleasures of Sedona.

"Oasis amid the towering cliffs"
This is a nice place with beautiful grounds upstaged by the awesome rock walls of the valley in which it is situated. It is quiet and relaxed. The hotel's restaurant has good food, and a great view. It is close to town, but away from the traffic. The room was very comfortable and had nice amenities.

"Beautiful oasis in the high desert"
We honeymooned at L'Auberge 20 years ago and decided to return and celebrate our anniversary there. The hotel has definitely had some upgrading in that time, all for the good. We stayed in a garden cottage, great spot, wonderful room, arrived to find a bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberries waiting for us. The staff was wonderful, everyone from our bar tender, housekeeper, main desk, shuttle drivers could not have been nicer or more helpful. The outdoor dining area is so wonderful, right on the creek, when the weather permits. Prices were pretty high, and my only criticism might be the main restaurant, Cress, was just okay, and I would rather have more choices than a fixed price menu. Overall tho, it was a wonderful experience for a special anniversary.

"Beautiful convenient Sedona hotel"
Wish the rooms would have been explained more, as the view would have been better from a regular King Size room on the upper floors in the main hotel; vs paying extra for a North Room. Would have forgone the fireplace.
