Our room was 1 of the smaller on the 2nd level with a balcony overlooking the pool area. The room was great for our needs, it was modern, clean and nicely appointed with a DVD player and a great kingsize bed and pillows.
The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing and the staff are very nice but not in your face.
The pool/garden area, though small, are beautiful and great for some lazy lounging. The beach is only a short walk and dedicated lounges are provided.
The hotel restaurant "The Glass House" provides great food and barrister coffee. If you choose to include breakfast, it is a set menu with a good choice and does include a small buffet of cakes, Danishes, breads and fruit along with your choice of coffee.
This is our 2nd stay and will stay again if we head back to Sanur.
My boyfriend and I had 7 nights booked at Sudamala for a relaxing break in Bali. The hotel was perfect. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the free bottled water provided daily. All meals and drinks were delicious. The hotel location was perfect and we took advantage of the free bikes almost every day to ride to other parts of town. The gardens are just stunning and well kept. Spent a lot of time relaxing by the lovely pool and also took advantage of the luxurious spa.
The staff were very friendly. It was very quiet, we were never disturbed by any noise.
It was our first trip to Bali and we were 'stuck' for an extra week due to the volcanic ash. We ended up travelling to different parts of the island, but we came back to Sanur and stayed at Sudamala for another 2 nights before departing.
Pleasant trip. Relaxing atmosphere. Superior room tired, bathroom needs desperate update. Tiles mouldy, one tile around the base of the shower had fallen off. Glass on mirror had lost its silver backing in parts. Timber bathroom cabinet had perished due to moisture, bits broken off. Covers on room chairs stained and dirty. Power to jug stopped working. The room fridge was not a fridge as such but a "cooler" it did not keep food and drinks cold. As I had concerns for milk not being at the correct temperature I did ask for a bar fridge and one was brought to the room. Despite taking up space as it could not fit where the other unit was it was worth knowing foodstuffs were being stored at a healthy appropriate temperature.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Gardens immaculate. Breakfast nice. Main pool tiles need a good scrub as build up of mould on grout in places.
My stay at the Fairmont Sanur Beach Bali was outstanding. I feel the photos do not do the resort justice, as I thought it was much more beautiful in person. First, I loved staying in Sanur Beach. It was hard to narrow down the area of Bali to stay in, but I really like Sanur. It's not touristy so you get a taste of culture. Many shops, restaurants, and bars are within walking distance of the resort...either on the beach or in town. The resort itself is immaculate. A lot of thought was put into the design, layout, and landscaping of the resort. The included breakfast was terrific. With 4 adults traveling together, we chose to stay in a 2-bedroom villa. We were truly blown away at how nice it was. It was huge and very well appointed. The beach is nice, but not great for swimming. The low tide brings the water out really far from the shore. It's worth getting up early to see the sunrise on the beach at least one day. My stay was in mid-October at the very beginning of rainy season. However, during our 6 day stay we not only had no rain, but barely any clouds at all. To get around and explore Bali we hired a driver by the day at a very reasonable rate. With his help we got to see so much of Bali in a relatively short period of time. Travel times by car are about 25 minutes to Nusa Dua, 25 minutes to the airport, 40 minutes to Kuta/Seminyak (including the unavoidable traffic). I would highly recommend this resort if you are considering a stay in Bali.

This hotel was even better than I was expecting. It is right on the beachfront with sunbed a should you choose the beach fir the day although it has 2 great pools to choose from one of which overlooks the beach with an on pool bar! The beach at Sanur was a little disappointing however the hotel wasn't. Great sized rooms, ours overlooked the pool, clean barroom, fridge etc. The breakfast was a large buffet with plenty of choice and the restaurant food was delicious. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. We were on honeymoon and loved this place and would totally recommend.

The leisurely pace of Sanur makes it a popular choice for families and those after a taste of the quiet life. A broad range of accommodation is represented along the coastline, which curves gently around a lagoon protected by a spectacular coral reef. The sheltered nature of the beach makes it ideal for swimming and a host of water sports. Regular public transport runs to and from Denpasar well into the night.
