"We had a wonderful time! The bed was super comfortable, which is not something you always get in a rental. We slept so comfortably! It was very romantic and peaceful. I absolutely loved the old feel of the cabin. Also we stayed plenty warm after the temperature changed. The tub was also surprisingly very comfortable to relax in!"

"What can I say, this was one of my best VRBO experiences ever. We stayed in the cabin "Joy" and it was a joy. It was very clean and inviting and dog friendly. I appreciated the fenced in yard for my puppy to be able to run loose. It was magical having the miniature horses come by for pets. The hot tub was great when the cool weather came in and out host, Greg, was very responsive helping me go from air conditioning to heater. He also assisted in extending our stay one more day. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and full size appliances were a plus. I will definitely come back to City on a Hill!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay!!! The deer were shy but we definitely think they liked the 3 bags of corn,carrots and lettuce we left them! Everything was great! We wanted to try the hot tub, but is was super cold!!! NEXT TIME, FOR SURE!!!"

"This beautiful property is very quiet, peaceful and pure Texas. The farmhouse is clean and beautifully decorated with antiques and family history, which we loved! The Fluitt's do a fantastic job hosting this home. Farm fresh eggs, fresh coffee and a well-stocked kitchen (appliances, pots, pans, plates, glasses, etc.) that is very appreciated when staying a few days. Our host even brought over delicious homemade pumpkin bread, not to mention her homemade syrup that is perfect for breakfast pancakes or biscuits.As animal and nature lovers, this is a perfect place for interaction with both. The back screened in porch is perfect for early morning coffee, sunrises and listening to nature. The front porch offers beautiful evening sunsets.We will definitely look to stay here again when we return to Fredericksburg. Perfect distance from town and shopping.My husband and I are truly thankful and grateful to our hosts for sharing their historic family property with us.Highly recommend!"

"We had an excellent week-long stay at Little Whiskey Retreat. It’s incredibly quiet and feels wonderfully remote, while still being close enough to Kerrville that getting into town is easy.The cabin was comfortable, well furnished, and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated having a full kitchen with full-size appliances, which made a longer stay much more convenient.The “silo” was one of our favorite features and a great place to spend the evenings. We were there during some 100-degree days, but once the sun started going down, a breeze would come through and the evenings became surprisingly pleasant and relaxing.It was exactly the kind of peaceful Hill Country getaway we were looking for. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would happily stay here again."
