Shell Island Beach Club 5B is a newly decorated vacation rental condo on Sanibel Island. Wonderful sweeping Gulf Front views from this raised first-floor beachfront corner unit. Tranquil setting yet only a short walk from shops and restaurants and near the historic Sanibel Lighthouse and fishing pier. All members of the family will enjoy this property. High-speed wireless internet; tiled throughout. 3 TV's, large heated swimming pool and spa, sauna, on-premise ice maker, tennis, shuffleboard, free bicycle usage, library, DVD rentals. Enjoy it all at 5B, the closest building to the beach, and wonderful shelling! This property does not offer an elevator.

This was our first stay on Sanibel Island and we had a wonderful experience. The condo was very clean, easy to access, and had a beautiful ocean view. We loved the quiet mornings and watching the sunrises from the screened-in patio.The location was perfect — close to the lighthouse and ideal for exploring the island. We visited the wildlife refuge, shell museum, and local wildlife rehabilitation center, and enjoyed the many nearby restaurant options. Sanibel has such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, and this condo was a great place to enjoy it. We would happily stay here again.

Lovely Place, Great Beach!

The condo is lovely! The location and views are terrific, and the condition is very nice! The resort is in the midst or being rebuilt from Hurricane Ian in 2022. The pool and tennis court were unavailable, but we didnt care, because we wanted the beach, and it was gorgeous, and not crowded at all.

Beautiful, Peaceful Retreat

We have found our favorite Florida location. This wonderful property is located on a lush beautiful island with plenty of amenities and activities. Specifically this property is located on the quiet end of the island where access to the beach, pool, and bike paths make it a perfect place for families to relax. The condo had everything we needed, including a gas grill which came in handy when we bought fresh fish and produce at the farmers market on Sunday morning. We will definitely come back.

Island Stay

Very nice property with lovely view to the Gulf. Had some problems with water leakage on the floor in the Master Bathroom upon our arrival, but thankfully this was resolved by a plumber within 24 hours after our arrival. The Condo was very comfortable, but there are a few things that should be tended to: missing and broken knobs on the vanity in the Master Bathroom, an extremely rusty ceiling fan in the lanai that we were afraid to use for fear of it coming apart, bath and beach towels that are thin and could use replacement, and kitchen knives that are extremely dull. We really enjoyed the quiet location and spending time on the lanai. Overall, a very nice property that just requires a few touch-ups.

Nice but needs help

Condo is in a very nice complex - great pool, BBQ pits and location. It was a nice stay. This was our second stay here. However...... The Master bed was very hard. If you like sleeping on a very hard surface this bed is for you. I like a firm mattress but this was by far the hardest I have experienced in some time. When we got to condo, we found out that there were very few towels. One hand towel in condo, one wash cloth in condo (except two that were found in kitchen drawer dirty and smelly). We attempted to call rental agent and found that they were closed on Sunday. We purchased towels for us to use during stay. Also, kitchen has very nice assortment of kitchen tools, but some were very dirty (food still left on them). Overall, it was a good time, but would not say here again until the tired furniture was replaced and new mattresses were in place.

Great location on the beach

We came down with immediate family to relax over the holidays. Very easy to isolate, everyone on the island were masked and socially distant. Much needed respite. Unit looking a little dated, kitchen utensils (knives, wine glasses) and bath towels could be refreshed. Perfect location

Excellent location! Beautiful beaches!

The location is perfect. Quiet end of the island, low traffic. The whole island is bicycle friendly so bring yours or rent one. This unit is part of a complex that's essentially right on the beach. The pool is kept in great shape; crystal clear water. The unit itself was clean and pretty well cared for. The screened-in patio did not drain properly. We were there in July, so rain every afternoon was just part of the Florida experience! But the patio collected water. So, morning coffee on the patio was always in a half-inch of water. But I'm sure this was specific to our unit. The property in general was very nice.

Great. but....

The kids bedroom does not get very cold. When the air is on 74 the master bedroom is comfortable , but it is warm in the kids room . Also the master bed is very firm. My husband and I left the week with a very sore backs.
