San Lawrenz Vacation Packages

Probably the best location in St Paul’s bay. Just off the main busy tourist area. Lovely pool area, plenty of sun beds. Beds were comfy and balcony overlooking the pool and the bay. Breakfast was good, and plenty of it. As with all buffets a bit of pot luck as to how fresh the hot food was when you turn up. The only issue preventing me giving the hotel an outstanding review was the maintenance. Considering this was the start of the season it seems that little work had been done on maintenance. The pool floor was stained, the fence to the baby pool was rotten, the door to the shower was beginning to rot and the bedroom ceiling tiles were ill fitting Other than that it is a great hotel!

It was a great stay. Room was very comfortable and clean at all times. We were upgraded to a higher suite which came as a pleasant surprise on arrival. Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly which is a big positive for the hotel. A couple of points they can perhaps improve, we felt it can do with more activities for the kids. Usually resorts of this band run a kids club which was missing at this hotel. They had live music in the bar on thursday which was brilliant and very entertaining but was not well published. We happened to be at the bar by chance that evening and would have liked to be informed of live music evenings as we really enjoyed it and could have planned it better.

I was very underwhelmed and disappointed by my stay. The Expedia listing describes this as a luxurious, relaxing hotel with Mediterranean sea views, but in reality, there are no sea views - just city views. The pool areas are small, packed, and accompanied by loud music, making it difficult to relax. One night, we were awakened at 4:00 a.m. when the fire alarm sounded three times, requiring guests to evacuate. Although we later learned it was a technical issue, there was never a formal apology or acknowledgment from hotel management which I found strange and unacceptable. The air conditioning in my room did not work properly which was especially challenging since the temps outside were over 100 degrees each day. My shower also lacked hot water for two days. While the front desk staff were courteous and tried to help, they appeared limited in what they could do. I also made several attempts to contact the hotel manager and never received a response after sending an email. This lack of communication, combined with the other issues above, made this a disappointing stay and below the level of hospitality I have come to expect from Hyatt Hotels.
