"A beautiful stay from start to finish! Barceló San José was such a wonderful experience and truly exceeded our expectations. The property itself is absolutely stunning.. lush, well-maintained grounds that feel like a peaceful escape the moment you arrive. The pool area is gorgeous and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The staff was exceptional.. warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. You can really feel the level of care and pride they have in making your stay comfortable. The airport shuttle was a huge bonus. reliable, easy, and took so much stress out of arrival and departure days. Such a thoughtful convenience! The restaurants were delicious, with a great variety of options. Every meal felt fresh and flavorful, and it was so nice having quality dining right on-site without needing to leave the property. Our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable.. exactly what you want after long travel days. It felt like a perfect balance of cozy and elevated. And for everything you get, the value is incredible. This stay felt like a luxury experience without the heavy price tag. We absolutely loved our time here and would stay again in a heartbeat! 💛"

"The tricky lady at the front desk tried to charge us twice for the breakfast. Parking place is a nightmare, always closed, dark, alone and you must go out of your car to ask (almost beg) for somebody to walk and open the gate. They offer amenities like a hair dryer. Lie. You must call and wait a long time for it. It was a good expensive hotel. Now its only expensive."

"I’m currently staying at the Hotel Santo Tomas and it’s a total standout. The building was originally built in 1908, and they’ve done an incredible job maintaining that historic character while keeping everything comfortable. Even though you’re right downtown and close to everything, the property feels like a private oasis. Once you step inside, you completely forget you’re in the middle of a busy city. It’s quiet, incredibly beautiful, and the layout is perfect. The pool area is excellent... very lush and a great place to reset. They also include a solid free breakfast that actually hits the spot. If you want a place with real history and a peaceful vibe right in the heart of San Jose, stay here. I’ll definitely be back."
