And YES, all the view photos shown in our listing are taken from our (your) patio deck! Parking is spacious, easy, and free, usually right in front! Also, we have tennis and pickleball courts across the street and you can play there for free as our guests. Did you know that our part of San Diego (Point Loma) was recently determined to be #3 on the 10 Coolest Neighborhoods in America? (Homeaway won't let us put the URL in this listing) Our home is located less than 10 minutes from the airport, Shelter Island, Harbor Island, downtown, and EASY walking distance to restaurants, shops, yoga, and the bay. Many guests tell us how much they enjoy being able to do so much without having to get in a car! Watch the fighter jets take off from North Island and frequent sail boat races. You can see the hills of Balboa Park where the San Diego Zoo is located. Sea World is 15 minutes around the corner. The border is 25 minutes to the south. The lights in Mexico are visible at night from your deck! Walk over to buy fresh fish from Point Loma Seafood. Stop by the Jennings House Cafe for breakfast in the morning. Or skip all that and enjoy one of HarborTown's 17 beers on tap. Your cozy apartment with private entrance and private deck includes everything you'll need for making your San Diego vacation a most memorable experience. The kitchenette is newly remodeled and the queen bed is very comfortable. And we just added a hardwood floor to the bedroom. \*\*\* Note, the virtual tour is 6+ years old - many upgrades since then but it does give you an idea of the layout. \*\*\* We think you will be most comfortable with two people but please inquire if you have need for a 3rd guest. You may be visited by our friendly cat from time to time. Our home sits on a hillside so it’s about 20 steps to your level. You can cut that in half by taking our outdoor elevator (hillevator) to our level and walk down to yours. Your hosts, Kelle and Dave, live just above and will be on hand, when needed, to answer any questions and provide recommendations for the many activities and sights San Diego has to offer. When we are home we are very quiet so you will hardly know we're here. If you want to take it easy and save money, don't rent a car and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There is a path along the water that is very nice at night. We often walk down there. Overall, we think we have the best value in all of Pt Loma. This was really a one-day San Diego and neighboring cities trip so we didn’t get to experience the nearby neighborhood as much but the stay itself was great and would consider going back.The hosts were accommodating and friendly about our very late arrival due to flight delays and early departure. They had plenty of towels accessible which was helpful for the space in the bathroom. They put out wine for us that we didn’t have time to enjoy but thought was so, so nice. If you’re the type to want to get to know the hosts and feel like part of the home, this is the spot for you to take in a view and take opportunities to chat with them! The space was clean, we slept comfortably, and there was plenty of dresser and closet space for our things. Dave and Kelle are welcoming, gracious, and generous hosts and eager to assist in any way they can. However, the rental unit is below their residence so you don’t have much privacy and they make a lot of noise above you while walking around and playing loud music.We loved the Point Loma area! ##### D G. Checking in was very easy and instantly fell in love with the balcony view. Walking inside smelled very fresh and clean! I would say the only messy part was the bathroom vanity did not look thoroughly cleaned but all else was very clean!Please note that due to there being a lot of plants and flowers, I spotted many spiders in the unit throughout my stay. If you plan on sitting on the outdoor seating area make sure you give it a good pat down before seating.The unit above I could hear talking, footsteps, and their tv throughout the day, very thin walls. The baseball field in front you can hear at night as well. I wouldn’t say it is a quiet stay but if you are planning on staying busy then this wouldn’t be a problem.I mostly read during the day and went out at night, so I did linger more during the day. A car is a necessity. Property is nestled is a residential area but is in easy walking distance to many restaurants, shops and services. Venturing out to most attractions are within a 15 minute drive.
