This is the perfect getaway for families and groups looking for comfort, nature, and relaxation. "There are no lifeguards on duty" Other things to note Victoriano, our housekeeper, and his family live on the property, behind the main house. They are locals and they will help you with any needs during your stay. They maintain the exteriors, trim the beautiful green areas and clean the surroundings of the property daily. Victoriano is ready to assist you with any emergency or just a simple request. Enjoy the help but be kind and respectful. They are honest and hard working. A tip upon your departure is appreciated by them, but please do so ONLY if you wish and are happy with the service. \* Access road (Pana/Santa Catarina/San Antonio) is narrow, with a poor lighting system. Our home is SMOKE-FREE! Smoking is NOT allowed anywhere inside the house. If you smoke inside your room or any shared spaces, you will be charged the entire deposit. Depending on the season the beach may be partially washed away. We are dedicated to providing you help in exploring options for your stay like boat rides, private chef, massages, shuttle services, etc., while we are happy to share recommendations, please note that these services are independent of our property, and we cannot take responsibility for their operations or availability. Dogs bark at night, this is part of the local culture, and you will find it in every town around the lake. Important Bathroom Notice "Please Read" In Guatemala, the drainage system is not designed to handle toilet paper or feminine hygiene products. Please do not flush toilet paper, tampons, pads, or any sanitary items down the toilet. Kindly use the trash bins provided in each bathroom. Our staff will remove the trash bags daily to ensure a clean and comfortable environment. We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a smooth and pleasant experience for everyone. Nature and Wildlife Notice Our home sits right on the lake and is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Because of this, you may occasionally see or hear local wildlife, birds, squirrels, frogs, or insects such as mosquitoes. On rare occasions, guests might also come across animals like snakes or scorpions, which are part of the area’s natural habitat. We do our best to keep the property well maintained and minimize encounters, but we encourage guests to keep doors closed and be mindful while enjoying the outdoors. Most guests find that this close connection to nature is part of what makes their stay here so peaceful and unique. The good- This home is amazing. The caretaker Victorino was so nice and helpful. The cooks that came over made each dinner one to remember. House can easily meet the needs for a family of 8\. The kayaks and paddle boards were very fun and you have your own beach. Ok, the bad(kinda)- you are right next to San Antonio. very close. So when you are sleeping you hear a fair amount of dogs barking. And on the beach the locals travel back and forth quite a bit to bathe in the lake right by the house. I highly recommend taking the chef option for a few meals. If you're not familiar with the Lake, this location has a few drawbacks as the town is very small and it's a bit far from most of the other towns around the lake. The benefit is you can access the property directly by car, and it gives you the opportunity to see a very small, un-touristed town which you might not visit otherwise. Finally, Marlon was incredibly helpful and accommodating with all back and forth communication leading up to, and during the stay. Thank you! ##### Zac G.
