The room was clean and well presented and an excellent value. The host and his wife went above and beyond in caring, friendliness and service. The location was within walking distance of the Vatican Museum and St. Peter's. Breakfast was across the street and he staff there were friednly and provided a quality breakfast. Shopping was available nearby. We loved staying there and would do so again in a minute. It is also very close to Cipro metro station, so you can get to Termini in about 20 minutes with no changes. Breakfast is served across the road at Cafe 49, and friendly service there. The location was clean, the wifi was pretty reliable, and the air conditioning was cooperative. The bed, pillows, and bedding were all decent as well. For the negatives the bathroom was clean but a nightmare to use. The toilet needed WAY too much time to function in between flushes to the point you dreaded having to use it. It made a horrific noise each and every time you flushed. The shower was small and too prone to letting water escape as well. The entire bathroom was tiny as well. This place is also inside a larger building - I think it just occupies a single floor. The larger building doesn't have the air conditioning running so any time you are in a general area it is brutally hot. We're medium built and my husband is tall. This was a struggle for us. The room itself is spacious and clean but the bed was uncomfortable as the mattress which has one of those toppers keeps sliding down towards the end of the bed. I felt the communication could be better from the owner. It is also about 1 1/2 blocks from Cipro Metro station. Giordano Was very friendly and helpful. The property is an apartment on the 5th floor that has been converted to several suites with no common area other than the entrance hall. There is an elevator. Note that on the buzzer block next to the door, there is a buzzer marked Perseo. Buzz that and he will let you in if he is there. There are only 3 slight complaints. No one in Italy seems to use face clothes, just towels. BYO. The shower door when slid open was rather narrow. I am not slim, but I am not that plump either and I had to breathe in to squeeze through. The other “problem” is that the toilets are the kind with the water tank way up high on the wall. For some reason the tank for the neighboring suite was in my bathroom. It was rather noisy when the other occupants would flush in the middle of the night.
