Depending on how much walking you can do, you can even walk to the colosseum in under 40min. It’s only a 10-15min. walk to the Vatican. The grocery store next door plus the kitchenette make this a perfect home base for your whole trip. There are several neighborhood restaurants which were good and the hotel provides a boxed breakfast. There are limited hours on the front desk so if you are doing self check in you will need to let them know about what you want for breakfast and when. The receptionist was incredibly friendly, delivered breakfast to the suite every day. Bed was large and very comfortable. Quiet hours are promptly at 9:00 pm- doesn’t matter if you’ve just gotten in or if you want to just hang out in the courtyard. Someone from the apartments above comes out to shush you at exactly 9:00\. I thought our room was going to be cleaned every 3 days but sadly the sheets weren’t changed the whole time we were there-10 days. Photos show a room that the master is separated but it’s not. It’s one big open echoing room. Bathroom is small and could use updating. If you’re looking quiet away from everything this is it. The room itself was disappointing. It has nice floors, but they were dirty. It has air conditioning, but it is too weak to have any effect on the temperature of the room (27C during our stay). It brought it to the attention of management but nothing was done. There was mold in the shower. The property description indicated rooms were cleaned every 2 days, but during our 3-night stay, there was no cleaning or towel replacement done. The location was great - a few minutes walk to the nearest subway station and close to the Vatican. Completely oversold and way under delivered, we don’t feel safe. We are booked here for two nights. We didn’t stay the second night, we left and found another property. No AC, no fan, exterior doors will not close and LOTS of gang tagging on the walls across the street. Had to sleep with windows open for air circulation. I’m a seasoned traveler……I didn’t feel safe. I’d like a complete refund. The safety, open windows, no AC or circulating air.
