I found Rome to be a demanding travel destination: wonderful, but also large, complex and crowded. In situations like this, travelers inevitably ask more of their accommodations. We need to be able to close that door at the end of a full day, and experience an oasis of security and comfort. I am more than happy to say this describes my experience at the Hotel Barocco. The room was very comfortable, the amenities everything I could ask for, the housekeeping impeccable. Beyond that, the service everywhere in the hotel, from the front desk, to the morning breakfast, to the bar, was always courteous, friendly and helpful. And that breakfast? Was out of this world. This was my sixth trip to Europe as an adult, and I have to say that dollar for dollar Hotel Barocco was my favorite hotel of them all. No complaints. No negatives. At all.
