Also the safe was locked and the proprietor could not open it. However, the bed was comfortable (memory foam) and the hotel suited our needs, reasonable value and it was conveniently located close to the station. The breakfast was a continental breakfast which suited us fine. The room was one of four that I think were a converted apartment within a 6 story apartment block built in 1864 off a courtyard with a little pool and trees, so it had a bit of character. It was a bit difficult to find Giovy- there was a sign on the street, by the gate, but nothing in the (beautiful!) yard- there were 4 staircases and it wasn´t easy to find the right one. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially when checking in, they gave me a map and a quick introduction and tips, what to see in Rome. The room was comfortable and clean It would be nice if there was more to choose from for breakfast, but it was ok.
