Brrakfast wasnt good

Wonderful hotel, great location, close to the beach, excellent breakfast

There are many good things about the hotel. Perfectly located, close to everything you need, bus to the airport, train station, market, old town, transport to reach anywhere in the city. The breakfast has a wide variety of sweet and sahoury items, all of them quite good, though seemed to be lacking local favourite in both sweet and savory options. Specifically potato pancakes or cured salmon. We paid for a room upgrade. It was €15 a night and not really worth it, the view is obstructed by the secondary glass panels on the exterior. Additionally upon check out they tried to charge us a second time for the upgrade and accused us of lying and made us show our payment receipt. Which we thankfully kept. They insisted we still owed them €45 for something and they started asking if we took something from the mini bar or their private transit. Extremely unprofessional. The coffee throughout the establishment is terrible, from the service counter in front, to the breakfast and finally the cheap instant coffee in the room. The majority of the spa was closed. Also no services are included in the room, so it's not a spa hotel, but rather a hotel with a spa inside of it. The toiletries, and towels are also poor quality. Latvia has lovely local brands, they had something else and not even separate shampoo just a 3 in one product. Their towels are so thin you can almost see through them. It screams cheap. Book for the location. Everything else is subpar.
