"We did not expect a luxury stay, but unfortunately, this was one of the worst lodging experiences we have ever had. The property was advertised as a single cabin, but the reality did not match the description or the positive reviews that led us to book it. The cabin had a very strong moldy smell, the floors were filthy, and the furniture was old and visibly water-damaged, including at the bottom of the bathroom furniture. "Great location, waking distance to the lake and beach. Owner was very responsive to questions and met us at the property to make sure we knew where everything was and answer any questions. "

The home was clean yet unfussy, and we didn’t need to take any extra steps to make it toddler proof (although they did provide a gate for the stairs!) The bar and grille next door was a huge plus too. If we go back to Delavan we will absolutely stay here again."
