Our family has owned and cared for this property since 1970, and over the decades we’ve welcomed multiple generations of returning guests who now think of this place as their “home away from home.” That sense of familiarity, warmth, and tradition is something you simply don’t find everywhere. We were looking for a peaceful way to spend Memorial Day weekend and it was perfect. We were worried about the lack of privacy of the shared grounds, but the owner kindly offered to move us to the cabin closest to the front of the motel, which had a large grassy area that was perfect for our dog to run around. Overall it was really quiet and we had nothing to be worried about! Amenities are what you need for a couple of days - we really enjoyed the big firepit and grilled for dinner. While there are multiple units connected, the outdoor area is large with plenty of seating. Firewood is stocked for the firepit away from all the units and we definitely had the feel of staying at a rustic cabin. Despite being Memorial Day weekend, the space was quiet and well kept. The 11-year-old with my partner and I was thrilled to have her own space connected to the main unit.
