Property was as expected. Rooms clean and staff helpful. Only stayed overnight but would happily stay again.

Old facility, poor breakfast. Spacious room, very good bath room.

JPL seems rundown. A legendary property in the Fairmont group, this place deserves some TLC. Additionally, the food with the exception of the small sushi restaurant downstairs is mediocre. My expectations for such a high priced hotel and high priced food and beverage was much higher.

Finding a quiet place can offer a much-needed respite from daily life. These spaces provide a sanctuary for reflection and contemplation, allowing us to recharge. The absence of noise and distractions fosters a sense of calm and peace within. Seeking such environments can significantly improve overall well-being and mental clarity.

This is an older hotel and in an older neighbourhood of Edmonton. It’s not the suburbs and it’s not a resort. However we would stay there again as we got a clean room for 2 nights and although there may have been lots of homeless and less ideal patrons of the games room and bar around outside, the staff took security seriously and were awesome. The societal issues are everywhere and until the Alberta government deals with the root causes of the issues better and more effectively I suppose we will continue to see the challenges grow and get bigger. Cant blame the hotel owners and staff for that and if you want a fancy place to stay at then maybe this isn’t your first choice, but the homeless situation will still be there no matter how it’s hidden in the newer areas. Be streetwise and use common sense. Otherwise if you want a friendly and cost effective place to stay then this may be the place for you.
