How lucky to stay in an 1860’s private home from the “Weinstock Department Store” family on a tree lined street near the capitol, midtown, very safe and 100% walkable. This property is also a wedding venue. Check-in was easy and there was a gal manning the front desk when we arrived at 3pm. Our room 103 was on the reception level near the front desk, snack and eating room with, tables, ice, vending machine, keruig and microwave. There were also some comfortable chairs in reception to read and relax outside your room. There was a big front porch with seating. Also bricked in area with seating that is used by the wedding part of the business. Our room was huge. A queen bed, sitting area by the big windows, a desk, tv and quiet air conditioning. The bathroom was also large but the old jacuzzi tub/shower had seen better days. We had a quiet night and were able to have time in the morning to explore. Note there is no parking included. There is lots of metered parking. Free street parking nearby is 10p-8a, midnight-8am. Secure monitored lots are $30 overnight. Also there is not a person at the front desk 24/7, but just a call away. There is no pool. Do stay here if you are in town.

Our room was a studio with a kitchen on the 8th floor. It was well designed and decorated. The bed was comfortable as well as the sofa. Everything was clean and in working order. Our room was quiet with minimal street noise. I appreciated the convenience of parking in the garage next door with in and out privileges and not needing a valet to get the car. We brought our breakfast so can't comment on the quality of the hotel breakfast. Overall, I was very pleased with our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again.

The bed was super hard. It was very noisy, there was a prom booked the same night and prom goers were blasting music through a speaker. Our room was right across from the front desk and the desk staff talked loudly all night with no consideration for the guests.

Our stay was excellent; however, your lighting in the rooms needs to be upgraded. The bathroom is hard to put your makeup on and the main room, the lighting is very bad. We liked the big TV. Everything else was fine.
