"The check-in process at the desk was painfully slow. The lobby, meeting room, and restaurant were shabby and outdated. The lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. We got to the room and the beds were slept in and unmade. There were wet towels and garbage everywhere. The room clearly hadnt been cleaned and also smelled. We didnt end up staying and got a refund."

"The room was VERY clean and large, the AC and heat worked well, the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was quiet at night, and located next to several restaurants. Would definitely stay again. "

"Breakfast and staff were great. Parking felt safe and was very convenient as we were on the first floor. Rooms are a little outdated but were clean. Our mattress was pretty awful unfortunately. Our key cards would not work so we needed to go to the front desk every time we wanted to get into our room. Staff was very friendly. "

"The front desk girl was wonderful. Quick and pleasant check in. However, our king bed room we booked was obviously being used or squatted. We unlocked the door to an obviously in use room. She was confused herself because the system said it was available. The "upgrade" was 2 queen beds. The room was much more run down than the one we walked into. The hotel itself was run down, but it did appear as though they are working on it a little at a time. The staff and entry were good. Beds were comfortable and we slept well which is the important thing. We were just staying over on the way to South Carolina. "

"We checked in late and it was dark. Host responded to our text, came to help us if needed. I didn't see a hot tub... and there was no breakfast. I read somewhere there was but it's ok. The place allows family to all rest in one area together, which with kids is great. The river is pretty. Also it has 1 full or queen, 1 bunk bed. And a loft which is high up appropriate for a teen. And a small couch, not big enough to sleep on. So truly this would sleep 4-5. Unless you had a small kid ok to sleep on couch. I would go back :) they did have little snacks on the microwave like granola bars and a small coffee pot. Cute place, I'd love to see it in the summer. This is a good review not negative. You should check it out. "

"Our family really enjoyed our one-night stay at this cabin. It's a cool, unique spot right on the river a few miles away from Gallipolis. Very peaceful. The cabin was clean, beds were comfortable, and it had everything we needed. The host was very helpful and friendly. Also, it was very pet-friendly. We'd definitely stay again next time in the area. "

"Was not the cleanest place I have ever stayed. One outside door was broken and leaning on wall inside stairwell, so stairwell to inside rooms was completely accessible to anyone. We were originally given a room on the second floor and neither of the keys worked to open the door. My husband had to go down twice to try and have the keys fixed while our children and I camped out in the hallway with all of our baggage. After the second attempt to repair and keys still did not open door, we were moved to a different room on the first floor. Not a huge deal, but it was after midnight and we were very tired after driving 15 plus hours on our way back from Florida. Staff was very apologetic and kind. "

"horrible hotel. there were stains all over the sheets, the entire place reeked of cigarette smoke, mold and rust in the tub and around the sink, stains and chips all over the walls. the staff at the front desk was not welcoming or helpful in the slightest. don’t waste your money. "
