A unique, attractive, boutique-like facility with lots of attention paid to detail appearance. Very nice, stylish rooms. Excellent very helpful staff (limited English speaking). Somewhat “strange” partnership with neighboring facility where connecting ponds water features are located (a fair walk, especially the return uphill). Fairly isolated and difficult to get to with very limited activities.

We had a wonderful stay at Bahia Principe Bounganville Resort! The hotel amenities are a bit dated, but honestly, what makes this place shine is the incredible staff who go above and beyond to make your vacation memorable. A special shout-out to Isabel Corty, our waitress at the Tamarindo Lobby Bar—she was always attentive and kind. Also, thank you to Yajaira, Patricia, Mario, Ruben, and Diego for your amazing service and smiles every day. At the spa Cindy ( Front Desk), Mayelin & Yomairy ( the masseuses) LOVE YOU GIRLS! Best massage ever. Highly recommend booking with them and tell them Scarlet & Carlos sent you! At the Jazmín restaurant, Kiuri & Suleyni, thank you so much for everything. I especially miss my morning glass of champagne! And wow—Argenis, ( The MVP) you were incredible with helping us with our luggage and making us feel so welcome. Also, thanks to Adolfo. Also, a huge shout-out to the animation crew at the lobby, especially María, who made sure everyone got involved, danced, and had a great time! On the beach, Carlos makes the BEST passion fruit mojitos—don’t miss them! And a big thanks to Indira for helping us secure a reservation at Don Pablo restaurant when everything was booked. Every single one of you made our stay unforgettable. If we come back to this resort, it will be because of the outstanding service and genuine hospitality from the staff. This hotel is for relaxing. They have daily lounge hours when they bring in a singer at night (around 8-10pm). The pool closes at 7pm but we had plenty of pool/beach during the day. If you have food allergies, they are amazing!! Ariel and Letizia were super helpful on this. I didnt eat from buffets due to cross contamination. The first day they asked me for preferences. I could order for lunch during breakfast and for dinner during lunch. They made a special recipe for me GF and DF for banana bread. I felt very safe and had no issues.
