Regional District of Nanaimo Vacation Packages

This is someone’s home so you are staying in a bed room either with a private bath or shared bath. They have one cute cat that is quiet. The hosts are teachers and are extremely nice and helpful! I took the bus and train there from the airport with my luggage and then took bus train and then bus to everywhere. It’s only $3.50 to take public transportation including transfers within 90 minutes. The house is close to all bus stops, within 5 to 15 minutes of walking. This is a very nice and quiet neighborhood with huge houses. I slept very well at night because the bed was comfortable and it was very quiet and peaceful! It is also a lot cheaper than hotels.

We’ve stayed here a few times and keep coming back - it’s the view, the location and layout of the suite. First of all, we had a “partial harbor view” and it was a full view from the living room/balcony of the bridge facing up the harbor (not the inner harbor). Location is easy to walk to downtown restaurants, inner harbor, across the bridge to a nice walking path. We buy a few groceries so we can have breakfast on the balcony and happy hour before dinner and it makes a really nice home base. Staff is super!
