"The setting was absolutely wonderful. And the host was great. But the property definitely needs updating. The kitchen cupboards are not very clean and organized. There were a few dishes, particularly baking utensils that had been put away from a previous renter, that were dirty (greasy). I would also remove the Buddhist(?) idols from the property.Even though there were sufficient blankets for our crew of 4, we were scraping to keep everyone warm because the blankets are very thin. The bathroom door does not close properly. The clothes washer dial is difficult to operate. You have to struggle with it to get it to the correct setting. Even though the sheets I clean when we stripped the beds and put the sheets in the laundry room, you could see how dirty the mattresses were. I would replace these. We did love the setting, and again the host was great, but a good updating is recommended."

"Great Maine camp on panther pond! Very clean and well stocked with everything you need for the week. My family has stayed on the lake a dozen times and this was our first time in this rental, definitely our favorite! The grandkids really enjoyed the dock and waterfront. Overall and excellent week."

"Salmon Lake cottage was absolutely beautiful! The deck overlooking Panther Pond was spectacular with the patio furniture and the docks a perfect place to watch the sunrise over the lake and relax with a glass of wine in the evening. The living space was comfortable with a whole wall of windows to enjoy that view and the kitchen stunning. The short walk from guest parking to the cottage was aided by a wagon which was very much appreciated. Our cottage stay was a wonderful way to end our two week vacation in Maine and we loved it all!"

"Everything you'd want in a Maine cabin get-a-way! The cabin was perfect for our visit and exactly as described. Tom and his wife were excellent hosts and had thoughtfully stocked the cabin. The outside space was amazing and the views were perfect! We will definitely be back again!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our day! The beach was right out in front of the cottage, the house was really nice and comfortable. Peter was a great host and was available if you needed him. The location is great as it is very close to a lot of shopping, restaurants, Portland, etc.. We are hoping to stay there again next year."

"Very clean, beautiful home with special luxuries like a usable fireplace and view of Panther Pond through the trees. Use of a wonderful shared dock with adirondak chairs and kayaks. And so quiet! We really enjoyed our relaxing time in this home!"
