Great stay

We loved this guesthouse. The amenities were great with a well stocked kitchen and large eating and sitting area. The location worked well for the southern coast and was away from the busy crowds. The hosts were warm and friendly. They offered coffee and fresh made waffles in the morning which was such a treat. We would highly recommend.

Was a lovely experience. Eva was fantastic. Dome and bed were toasty warm.

Pleasant interaction with the dogs

Our one night stay was wonderful... the room was absolute luxury, with a very comfortable bed! Netflix and wifi, basic kichen stuff... everything we needed. And then to wake up to that view... breathtaking! Absolutely a wonderful place to stay. The only recommendation would be for some signage out on the main road telling where to turn. After driving around for 10 mins back and forth to & from Vik, we took our chances and followed the sign for Black Beach Restaurant, thinking it would be...

Loved it! Loved the design of the cottage (inside and out), loved the view (glacier and sunrise), loved that we were lucky to see the Northern Lights! Highly recommend!!!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Vik Apartments. Conveniently located across the street from grocery store and restaurants. We had the studio apartment with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The pull out couch was was comfortable. The unit was very spacious with a little mud room when you walked in the door. I would stay here again in a heartbeat

Very nice host lady, nicely equipped kitchen, multiple shared washrooms, and cozy place , very good outdoor setup as well.

House is beautiful; check in was easy; hosts very communicative. Location is close to lots of great sites, however, you do have to drive a bit if you want to eat in restaurants. Having said that, the house is fully equipped if you’d like to grocery shop and prepare your own food. Also, location is remote enough that we had a great viewing of the Northern Lights! That was spectacular.

Incredible stay at Skalakot manor! Very cozy boutique hotel with kind staff. Dinner was awesome with plenty of selection as well as breakfast in the morning. Has a sauna/spa area and horseback riding. Excellent area to view the northern lights!

Our room was very nice and clean with a great view. The included breakfast had many delicious options. We expressed our interest in seeing the aurora borealis and they went out of their way to call us that night to tell us to go outside when it was visible.

Excellent property, beautiful rooms. All the amenities are present very clean bathrooms and the breakfast was really good.

Our family had a wonderful time at this cottage. The setting is beautiful, peaceful, and pleasant, offering stunning views—we could enjoy lovely sunrises and sunsets, and even watch horses strolling leisurely right outside the window. We highly recommend this place. It is also very conveniently located for trips to the Highlands, Vík, and other areas. All in all, everything here was absolutely amazing!

Absolutely amazing stay and an unbelievable Northern Lights show to top it off!
