Breakfast was Colombian style—eggs, arepas, patacones (crushed fried green plantain chips), local bakery bread, fruit (pineapple, papaya, watermelon). Juice was fresh passionfruit, but they also had hot coffee and chocolate. The rooms have A/C but the interior of the hotel does not (this appears to be a large, private home converted to a hotel). Rooms were clean but there was no hot water—however, considering the very hot weather of Cartagena, it was adequate. There is a pool on the property out front, but the beach is just across the street and the water is warm. The historic city center is within walking distance as well. There is a nice place to eat two properties away, also. If you’re traveling with teenagers that you don’t want sleeping in the same bed, you should let them know beforehand. The rooms have TVs which use Internet, but the streaming services don’t have logged-in accounts and screen mirroring from iPhones did not work. The staff is friendly if you work with them.

Gorgeous spot on a private beach in Baru, highly recommend for a romantic and quiet getaway. Super attentive staff, beautiful rooms, and the grounds were also lovely. We had the entire place to ourselves for a night!
