Cliff and Joy couldn't have been more gracious. Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown , Yorktown and the historic plantations are a short drive and ferry away. This is a amazing house a very unique stay"

"Get away from the hustle and bustle of Williamsburg and stay here! A very seamless and quick (free) car ferry ride across the James to get to Busch Gardens and Jamestown. This place is great for families. There is even a basketball hoops the kids enjoyed! Lots of space to move and very quiet and serene. We tried 2/3 restaurants in town, both good. Neighbors were friendly and lots of charm. Amanda was fabulous to work with during our stay."

"Our first time staying at this property. So glad we found it - it will be our first choice for future trips to Chesdin. The house is spacious and wonderfully appointed. Kitchen has everything you'll need. Plenty of parking (we had 2 boats/trucks). The neighborhood is quiet and safe. House sits right on the water w/ a fabulous view of the sunset. This place is great for a family get-away or homebase for a fishing trip. Minutes to the Whippernock ramp."

"What an absolute fantastic weekend in Va. My son is a Marine stationed at Fort Greg-Adams. He was given his 96hr leave for the Holiday weekend. We found this gem of a home in rural Va. The home is spacious and very clean. There are amazing amenities. Washer/dryer, front deck, bar-b-que handicap accessible door. Just a great home for a weekend. If you are a history buff it is double the bonus. There are plenty of Civil war trails to explore. Everything about the house and stay is an A++++++++++....

"This property has many amenities that we unfortunately didn’t have time to use, as we were too busy getting ready for our son’s wedding. If you have a family, I highly recommend this property. They have anything you could want for young children to teenagers. Plus plenty of room to spread out. Enjoy!"

"Family came to Richmond for a wedding and needed a place for 3 adults and 2 teenagers to stay. Place was perfect with bedrooms and baths as well as the basement area so the kids had a place to hang that was their “own”. Communication was TOP NOTCH. Internet went out during our stay and I reached out to James. He let me know where pieces of equipment were so we could reset (which worked beautifully)! Had offered to help troubleshoot of that didn’t work to get it up and running again. Well...

"Hamid was very attentive and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked. The house was a bit out dated but certainly worked. I would stay at any of the host’s properties due to how attentive he was to our needs. The Vrbo app was confusing and did not have all the info it said it would have about the property but that is a Vrbo thing and not related to this host or house"

"Our host was very responsive, accommodating, and made sure we had everything needed for our stay. My crews travel a lot for work and it’s always refreshing when we arrive at a nice, well kept place and this was a proper home. They were also very responsive when I requested to extend our stay and made it work ASAP. Thank you for the fantastic house. I will definitely look into this again if/when working in the area again!"
