9.4/10 Exceptional! (1,003 reviews)
Room was a good size. However, it looked straight into an opposite block and there were no net curtains. So the actual curtains had to be drawn for privacy. The furniture was impractical. The desk chair was exceptionally heavy and there was an ottoman at the end of the bed that had wrought iron legs which I bashed against causing a bruise.
The staff were variable. Some were nice, others appeared to lack confidence dealing with people, and some simply scowled when you passed them in the corridor.
Finally, the hotel is located in an area I would not choose to stay in again. Towards the centre okay; go the other way and I didn’t feel particularly safe. On Saturday evening the place seemed to be over-run by semi-feral youths.
Overall, I was disappointed.
On the positive side though, the barman was able to mix me an excellent St Germain Spritz.
