"Architecturally very similar to a classic Canadian Motel, but upscaled by several degrees of magnitude. Really excellent breakfast options including local food which you will rapidly come to love. Very quiet as many of the ceilings and walls are covered in sound dampening cork. If you are driving (which I recommend outside of the city) this is a perfect home base for exploring the island. Very easy access to the highway and you won't need to drive through Ponta Delgada much which can be intimidating. It's "between" to lively districts so you're near the action but not in it. Next door is one of the main bakeries for the city and they open up in the middle of the night so a late night walk home ends with fresh pastry. Visit the local bar just 100m downhill for a great first taste of Ponta Delgada cafe culture."

"The hotel was a four star hotel with courteous, attentive staff. Food was excellent. The atmosphere was calming.. We had 24 hour availability of the thermal pool and gardens directly from the back door of the hotel. The public has access from 10 AM to 4 PM only"

"This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. It was the type of hotel experience one wants on vacation. When you see the pictures of this place on the App/website a daydream about your upcoming vacation, the reality is way beyond what you can imagine. The grounds are well kept, the view of the ocean and the surrounding landscape are amazing. It is a great sanctuary and base camp for adventures on the island. 20 minutes from Ponta Delgada, 25 minutes from Furnas, 30 minutes from Ribeira Grande, and roughly 60 minutes from Sete Cidades. Breakfast was great, they had everything. Spa, gym, rentals, and a nice cocktail bar. I can’t wait to come back."
