To keep you cool in the summertime, two bedrooms have ductless air conditioning units, and there is a stand alone air conditioning unit in the dining/kitchen area that ducts outside. **Location:** Our townhome is in the **Brooklyn neighborhood**, with neighborhood shops and eateries. Food carts are nearby, as well as the Aladdin Theater, a Portland landmark, and the Brooklyn park with kids play structures. A short drive or bus ride will take you to the Sellwood/Westmoreland, or Clinton/Division neighborhoods with their own great eateries and shopping. It's only a short 10-12 minute drive to the Oregon Convention Center, or downtown Portland, Portland State University, or OHSU (Oregon Health and Science University), or OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). Another few minutes to the Oregon Zoo. **Transportation:** \- While a car is optional, there is plenty of free parking in our neighborhood \- For travel Downtown you can drive, or it is easy to take public transit and avoid parking hassles. \-There is a bus stop about 2 1/2 blocks away on Milwaukie Avenue and the MAX train station is about a 5-7 minute walk. We will probably not be in town when you rent the entire house, but will be available via phone and email while you are there. Someone lives parttime in a basement apartment, so you may hear the garage door open and close. Please note that this is a quiet neighborhood, and parties or events are not allowed. Quiet time is 9 pm to 8 am. **Important:** when inquiring or booking, please watch for email from **"Cora Street Retreat"** sent from **owner...@messaging.lodgify.com** **City of Portland regulations requires:** "All accessory short-term rental permit holders must provide transactional data of guest stays upon City request. Transactional data is data provided directly from the listing platform and **must include guest names, guest home addresses, guest phone numbers, dates of stay, and number of guests**. Failure to provide transactional data within 30 days of City request is a violation and subject to enforcement or permit revocation." We didn’t use the kitchen much but checked it out for future reference. The backdoor to the back yard was really hard to close and lock but it was winter and we weren’t going to spend any time out there but just curious for future stays in summer months. I attributed it to swollen door/ frame due to winter weather. Again, we still thought this place was comfortable & worked very well for parents, grandparents and teenager. House is exactly as described. Steep stairs but we had no issues with this. Beds were comfortable. Able to use driveway for parking car which was nice bonus. Highly recommend! ##### Marianna T. Very close. Lovely peaceful spot amongst some of the best Portland neighborhoods. The pictures are accurate. Great layout, but the my favorite was the back patio area for coffee in the morning and wine at night. We did one day trip to Astoria and happened upon the barking sea lions. We did another to the Mount Hood area and Timberline Lodge. We explored a lot of Portland. And, we got to come back to our little oasis for the end of our great days. ##### Nancy C.
