Super close to shopping and the Britt festival venue.
Rooms have been recently remodeled. Very nice job. Bed and bedding was very nice. Great location right on Main Street. Currently remodeling wine room, so that was not available.
On the positive side is the town, the historical factor and the nicely restored rooms. On the negative side, there are a large number of steps to access the rooms, there is no hotel staff on site for check in and check out or to deal with any issues. Cable TV did not it work. When called to report it the person that ran the wine bar arrived to say it’s been our all day and she busy working in the wine bar and didn’t have time to call the service provider. There was no tissue in the room. The room was very small. Even difficult to walk around the bed without hitting the wall mounted TV. The restaurant was very overpriced. Extra charge for bread and steak sauce. Much less satisfied than previous visits.
The Inn is amazing and has been recently remodeled. The room was quite comfortable and trendy with modern fixtures and furniture to suit the eclectic setting. The only complaint I have is that the YALE entry door system is loud, the room doors are thin and you can hear every other guests entry codes coming and going. Also, the door is not well fitted and the lights from the hallway illuminate the room, unless you place the extra pillows against the door to block the light.
We had a drink downstairs in the bar, and Aaron was a fabulous bartender! We wish we had made dinner reservations in the dining room, but sadly, didn’t know they were even available until we received a text at 4:51PM day of check in…. Too late as we had already made dinner plans. It was a little weird to receive a text @09:53AM reminding us to check out by 11AM, as we had already entered our exit code… so clearly they have a few bugs to work thru, but the hallway doors are something they need to work on…. Every word in the hall can be heard inside the room.
The place is charming and very clean. I guess I didn’t read the descriptions well enough and wasn’t aware of stairs up to the registration desk, then back down the stairs going around the corner and climbing more stairs to get to our room. Being older and on a road trip with 1 large bag and 2 small ones it is something to consider. I think it was worth every step.
Absolutely wonderful! Authentic era-consistent decor and vibe. The room was delightfully comfortable. I was disappointed that there was no recycling bin.
This was well worth the effort to get to Jacksonville after a long drive. The room was charming. The restaurant was excellent with great service. Our stay was much too brief.
A great place to stay and close to the Britt Festival. The air conditioner was VERY LOUD so we did not get a good night sleep. The staff are VERY knowledgeable and professional.
Very quaint. Neat old building. Amazing jacuzzi tub, with really nice bath robes. Was nice having a mini fridge. There wasn't a coffee maker in the room, but there was coffee and biscotti available literally right outside my door, which was lovely. They weren't serving breakfast at the hotel, but included a credit for breakfast at the coffee shop a black away, which was really nice too. The bed was super comfy too. Over all a lovely stay, and a great place to spend my birthday.
I can only highly, highly recommend this hotel. Absolutely wonderful, everything from the hotel, the staff, the amazing food (desserts, worth every calorie) & Jacksonville itself.
Please stay here, you won't be disappointed. I am already looking at returning myself. Highly, highly recommend. 5 stars!👍
It was a wonderful stay. I would recommend it to anyone. Everything you need is within a 5 minute walk and it's quiet at night. The bar restaurant downstairs was very nice and I like brick of the historic building.
What an awesome and unique experience. Such an adorable place in one of my favorite historic towns. The rooms were clean and the staff was wonderfully accommodating. My boyfriend and I had dinner at the restaurant located in their hotel and it was absolutely amazing. Absolutely will be staying here again and again!
Beautiful little historic hotel in downtown Jacksonville. Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and a restaurant and wine shop on the premises. Can't wait to return!
