When is the best time to go to Poraiti?

The best time to go to Poraiti is during the summer months, from December to February, when the weather is warm and dry, superb for enjoying the region's outdoor activities and vineyards. These months offer long, sunny days, with average temperatures around 25°C, making it ideal for exploring the local wineries, cycling the Hawke's Bay Trails, or relaxing on the nearby beaches. It's also the peak season for many local events and festivals, providing plenty of entertainment. For those who prefer a slightly cooler climate and fewer crowds, the shoulder seasons of autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November) are also excellent choices. Autumn brings beautiful foliage and harvest festivals, while spring sees the vineyards burst into life with new growth.
