Gaze up at the elegant Point Venus Lighthouse, which is said to be constructed on the spot where Captain Cook set up an observatory to spot the planet Venus in the night sky. Admire the design of the white eight-floor square tower, which is made out of stone and coral and is 105 feet (32 meters) high. Its unique design looks a bit like a tower of building blocks in graduated sizes stacked one on top of the other.
Capture photos of the black, sandy beach with a backdrop of the sparkling ocean. The surrounding scenery includes towering green mountains.
