"This was our first attempt camping with our 2.5 year old, and as I'm pregnant and didn't want to sleep on the ground in a tent, we rented the Springdale. It went really well. The trailer is very spacious and they really set you up with everything you need, so I won't pack so much next time! My only issue was that the queen bed is very hard. There were lots of places for little kids to play and lots for them to do. There is a small play structure, swing and small beach area. There is a water table and play house on the deck. "This is our second time staying here. The cottage is spacious in a nice setting by a small river. We needed to use the portable air-conditioner due to the high temperature this long weekend. We enjoyed the 3 + 1 kayaks and a well-maintained play structure for the little ones. The fireplace in front of the house was removed, probably due to forest fire hazard this year. The drives from our homes were long esp. for a long weekend stay this year vs. a week long stay last year. Drawbacks this year...
