Exactly as expected. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again. Gabriela was extremely responsive to any questions and concerns. The area is close to many beaches by walking or a quick Uber ride. Amenities nearby and the vibe of surf side is truly a great experience.

We enjoyed having the mini kitchen, whihc had everything we needed, the view over the marina was entertaining and the pool was delightful after a day spent out touring or at the beach. the Staff was beyond friendly and very attentive to ensure everything was as it should be.

I spent two days here and it was unlike any other lodge/hotel I’ve been to before.
The rooms are beautiful, the pool is stunning, the jungle gym is also such an amazing addition but nothing tops the the host himself, he made sure every question was answered and I truly felt at home almost 4000 km from Canada.

We liked everything about this property. other than no water view this fabulous resort has everything we could want and then some. Security,nice pools,magnificent grounds, a kitchen which we did not expect,a very nice hot breakfast included and a staff that went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable. only wish we could have stayed longer.

We had an excellent time at the Mikado. It was our first time to Costa Rica and it was probably one of our best holidays. Such a fun adventure. Lolo was an excellent host and if you do stay you must take advantage of her dinners. Incredibly romantic. The location is perfect. Quick drives to Tamarindo, Playa Avellanas and Playa Conchal. Great places to explore and then return to the peace and tranquility of the lodge. Absolutely perfect.

Very nice, clean accommodation in a central location, just off the really busy area of playa Tamarindo, so it’s quiet at night. Everything is still within easy walking distance. Our room had a large comfortable king size bed and a functional mini kitchen. Also the staff were incredibly kind and helpful and there are 6 parking spots at the back of the hotel property which are free and convenient.

This place is so, so, so amazing. The hosts are absolutely exceptional human beings. This is the only place you need to stay if you visit Playa Ocotal or the surrounding areas. You will be disappointed if you choose anywhere else! This place really is magical. It's quiet, it has a great view, great pool, and the breakfast is the best I had on my vacation. I also had dinner here, it was the best meal we had hands down, with a great bottle of wine, with a view to die for.

Wonderful stay! Our bungalow was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. We really appreciated the daily cleaning, which made our stay even more comfortable.
