My wife and I booked this hotel back in February for the Oddities event. However, had we known what the property was like beforehand, we definitely would have chosen elsewhere. Upon arrival, the first room that we were placed in has roaches. I did complain and we were moved to a different room. I no longer saw any bug issues but the room was filthy. There was dirt on the floor, forcing us to wear socks the entire time, and the walls were filthy. There were also holes in the blanket bed and our sink kept backing up, bringing up something pink from the sink. In the parking lot, there is a small strip of grass which was littered with dog poop everywhere. The only reason we chose to still stay was because we drove 6 hours to Maryland and we didn't have money for other accomodations. Howbeit, I definitely do not recommend staying at this hotel.

remodeling going on, so the bar area was out of commission. convenient ent to shopping restaurants and a grocwry store

The hotel was under renovation and was a mess. I had to pay $42 a day to park. We were told to use the airport shuttle to get to the metro to access the DC metro area. They closed the airport on the Fourth of July and sent the shuttle down. We were very disappointed having to Uber in extreme traffic or walk in extreme heat.
All of these unexpected expenses made the trip unaffordable for us. Between hallway carpeting being torn up under our feet and the National Gaurdsmen making hallways their personal living rooms were unacceptable.
