At least we had a roof
The place was very dirty and many parts of the oven were not working. Many lights were purposely dark so you could not see how filthy the bathroom and bedroom were. The two screws attaching the headboard to the bed were off so nothing was holding the bed together on one side. The tub was gross and you stood in water. It was disgusting. Was quiet. Only good thing besides the neighborhood. They need a new cleaning and maintenance people. One of the worst I’ve stayed in. Most of the areas upstairs were dusty and under the bed had not been done in quite some time. The shampoo was broken off and none of the shower gel or things indicated in photos were available.

Great location, but needs attention.
Excellent neighborhood and convenient location. The building is old, but charming outside. The apartment is dark and dingy. Extremely basic. Amenities are overstated in the description- apparently there is a coin operated laundry in the building basement, not in apt. Dirty rugs, threadbare towels. No instructions re WiFi, or anything else. A friend contacted the owner for me thru VRBO but he would not call/message me back. I found him on line, by luck, I called him and he gave me the info I needed. His wife seems to run the business. It was disappointing, sorry to say. He apologized, but they definitely need to up their game.

Responsive host, but cleanliness lacking
Great location and good communication with the host, but the apartment did not feel very clean. The biggest problem was that the bed did not have pillow cases, which we did not realize til night time, when trying to go to sleep. We could find no pillow cases in any closets and had to sleep on our sweaters.

If bathroom cleanliness isn't important, this is your place. Listing said linens were provided and that meant there were two wrinkled bath towels, one soiled hand towel and two dirty bathroom mats available - need to bring your own washcloths. Although the host was responsive, we had to request codes to check in and Wi-Fi info.
