The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The room was ready and spotless clean, with plenty of space and comfortable. We have stayed in enough Best Western hotels in Europe now that we have joined their rewards program. Rather than being cookie cutter hotels, we have found many fascinating, unique historic properties. This was the actual mansion where my ancestors met with, and likely spent nights with le Marquis de Baume! Our room was spacious, and the front desk was quickly responsive when we thought a light fixture was broken. They cheerfully offered to move us, but we decided to stay to enjoy the nice bathtub. And then we accidentally discovered how to turn the light on. The front desk girl (sorry, forgot her name) was sweet and helpful. The dining and breakfast rooms were outstandingly beautiful historic spaces. It's the most beautiful staircase I've ever seen! The elevator and A/C were also greatly appreciated. The only drawback was parking. A common problem in European cities. My husband was told that the lot was just at the end of the street, but he said it was actually a mile away, so I don't know if he just missed the intended parking lot, so perhaps a little map to hand out would be helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were very helpful in arranging a taxi for us and were very friendly. The breakfast in the morning was AMAZING! AC really helped make the warmer temps more comfortable. Highly recommend.
