"BEWARE!!! This was terrible. It’s not a hotel by any means. Located in a bad neighborhood, there is no one there to greet you. We stood on a rotting porch for 15 minutes after ringing the ring doorbell only to be told someone would be there in 2 minutes. The smoke alarm dead battery screech coming from inside told me enough. "This property is right beside the water ferry that would take you to NYC. That is extremely handy but be prepared to spend money because it is $40 for a family of four one-way. There is a Whole Foods a short walk away, where you can pick up some healthier versions of food. They did not have a whole lot of other restaurant options other than a steakhouse across the street and the in-house hotel restaurant. The staff was quite welcoming, especially in the hotel restaurant very lovely people to speak to when you’re getting your morning coffee. A bonus tip for anyone attending there is a free water shuttle/bus that you can take when you’re in NYC that will take you to the harbour to take that ferry back to the hotel. Just make sure that you’re looking these up in advance sometimes they’re hard to see on the signs. The front desk was meh. Not overly helpful versus the concierge that I’ve had experience with in other large cities but again I feel that this may be an NYC personality trait not personal."
