« We had a wonderful experience at Lil'Kickback! Our stay at this delightful cabin on Elk Creek was in the end of October, 2025 and part of our 40th anniversary celebration. Travelling along the Great River Road from southern Wisconsin, Eau Claire was to be a layover spot as we had planned to take a day trip to the northern tip of the state and visit some waterfalls. Jolene is a superb host! Her communication with us was wonderful. While we were in route, she reached out to check on our arrival...

« We had the most peaceful getaway for 4 days in October here. The host was very responsive and the place was full of all essentials needed for a home cooked meal or bbq on the deck outside. Had coffee each morning (coffee and maker included) outside while watching fishermen, hunters, neighbors or for a walk and the squirrels getting ready for the new season. Beautiful view of the Mississippi backwaters from the kitchen and living room, huge windows. Would definitely go back! Thank you! »

« The place was quiet and generally clean, with a nice view of the Mississippi. However the shower floor was visibly dirty. The lack of curtains or blinds over the bedroom window, where a bright streetlight shone directly in, was not conducive to sleeping. Communication from the host was a bit spotty. This property was satisfactory but below what I usually experience through VRBO. »
