"Beautiful place for relaxation with family and pets"

"Beautiful, peaceful, quiet & relaxing rural setting, with lovely pool & patio lounge area. Very helpful & knowledgeable host. Clean, open spacious room with garden level terrace. Delicious gourmet breakfast. Highly recommend, wonderful home & hosts. Thanks Brian for all your travel advise, much appreciated."

"The house was seeminly new and in fantastic condition. Amazing property and in pristine cleanliness condition"

"We just came from a wonderfull stay at this paradise. The service was at it finest, and the location to. We were so lucky, that the staff (Susanna) upgraded our room to a supirior, because there were one free. The room was so beautifull - the combination of wood, stone and “farm” style has sat an impression of us. You really need to experience this place. Both the location, but very much the service indeed. Incredible breakfeast, haven’t got anyting near this standard for the money before....

"Really loved our stay. Beautiful rural location, lovely accommodations. Hosts were fantastic, provided useful information. Small issues with the shower head not fitting on the hold bar and one bedroom not really cooling at night."

"Nice staff, good breakfast. Pool was clean and room was pleasant "

"Excelente lugar y atención. Rodrigo un muy buen anfitrión"

"A wonderful place to get away and enjoy the fresh air, great food, and friendly atmosphere."

"We liked the atmosphere of the old house. The grounds were beautiful. The staff person was very friendly and helpful. She doesn’t speak English, but between a little Spanish on our part and sign language, it was a wonderful experience. We learned a little Portuguese! Would stay again if ever in the area."

"Old farm, difficult to access with nice grounds and swimming pool. Owner cooks meals and breakfast if he’s available. Uninteresting food and nothing available Sunday night as World Cup soccer was on. Very friendly but no fan in room barest necessity of room and towel rack was broken. Atmosphere and friendly but that’s it."

"Loved our stay at Quinta da Cancela. Beautiful, relaxing place. Arthur is a fantastic host and we even managed to help with the 🍇 harvesting."
