Here you are midway between the Invalides Museum (where Napoleon I is buried), the Quai Branly Museum for indigenous art and the Champs de Mars park with the Eiffel Tower. This is a high value residential district that is home to many diplomats, French government administrators, and academics from the nearby American University. It has easy access to transportation with the Ecole Militaire metro station and bus lines 69, 80, 28, and 920 The apartment which is on the first level ( second american ) of a XIX century building consists of a fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer and a table for 2, a bedroom with a hotel quality queen size ( 160cm\*200cm or 65\*80 inches ) bed, closet, tv and desk and a small bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. kitchen and bedroom opens with 2 windows on a quiet and large courtyard planted with trees therefore is away from street noise. you can sleep with windows open. both windows close with wooden shutters. The apartment comes with free WI-Fi and free cable TV . The all-inclusive rental fee covers quality linens and towels. The location is very convenient to tour Paris. It is a walking distance (less than or around five minutes) to eiffel tower, museum du quai branly, invalides, rodin museum) . It is a lovely walk (less than 30 minutes) or a short direct metro ride (less than 5 minutes) to the tuileries garden , louvre, champs elysees. Please be aware of the contractual 40 euro for any check in before 1200pm and after 900pm. If the apartment is not rented the night before the 40 euro applies in all cases. If the apartment is rented the night before we do not charge the early check in, we can check you in starting 1000am, keep your luggage but ask you to leave the apartment until the cleaning is finished i.e., around 1200pm. ## Property amenities ### Internet - The bathroom is very small and the shower is tiny. Also, there is a very noisy neighbor who lives upstairs and keeps a late schedule. Not the fault of the host, I realize. ##### Suzanne M. We felt a little bit like locals because of the apartment’s location in a residential building and regularly seeing neighbors. This is not a luxury hotel and is neither decorated nor presented as such. It is a place to stay. The important parts were taken care of, and that’s what mattered the most to us. The bed was exactly what we were hoping for after a long flight, the shower water was hot, there was a fridge, stove, and a washer/dryer combo, an ironing board and iron, and fresh towels. The location was perfect. It was removed from the touristy areas without being too far away, and it was a 3 minute walk from one of the nicest open market streets. There were plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, souvenir shops, clothing and shoe stores and basically whatever else a traveler might need. It was awesome and we will miss it. Cons: super small bathroom and shower. Be prepared for this. Lovely artwork shown in pictures was missing (was that photoshopped in?). No washcloths and towels were dingy (we found some new ones in a drawer). Could use a new dish sponge for each tenant since dishes need handwashing. It’s a very small place but the location is great. Near metro and great restaurants. We recommend La Terasse and Le Petit Cler. Good value as far as a place to stay near the Eiffel Tower and great neighborhood. ##### Christina A. Oh, the food! Wow! About 100 yards from the metro! 10 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower! The place itself was quaint, older, as one might imagine in a 300 year old building, comfortable, and everything worked! Olivier, the manager, was a most excellent host, who gave great counsel on how to use everything in the apartment, which included the keys, the washer/dryer combo, the TV and cable, the WiFi, etc! Very helpful! His communication with us was excellent from the moment we booked the VRBO, till we met at the passageway to the apartment, on time. The 7vin restaurant listed on the apartment instructions had amazing great food and atmosphere. We spent very little time in the apartment as we were always on the go for our one week dash through Paris! Shower was small but had great hot water and pressure. We were warm enough in the 3rd week of November when they had their 1st snow. Like I said, everything worked, and worked well. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. ##### Bruce B. Very difficult to shower or to use the toilet. It takes three days to warm up enoug to shower. Upon arrival the washing machine was full of wet bed sheets. Add showed seeing the Eiffel tower etc... that was entirely impossible. Entrance was unlit from an alley way...not comforting at night. Also added things to be do before leaving , so as not to incurr additional costs, was not before hand mentioned.. Also said to be at ground level, and was not. My wife and I are both handicapped. You really are a couple minutes walk from the tower and just outside are amazing places to eat. Easy access to the metro and buses. This is a place to eat and sleep, very quiet. Grocery store around the corner! Although, with what's surrounding you, you might not want to eat in. Our only issue, however small, was the host. He was irritated at us that we took the transit lines someone else suggested. And also upon arrival, corrected us on European terminology of things in the apartment and looked at us confused when we didn't understand immediately that the washer also dried. Us silly north Americans use two appliances to do what this one did. Our bad. We came to Paris for everything outside of this place and this apartment gave us that. We spent 8 hours in it a day and that was to shower and sleep.
