Located on the 4th floor (elevator), it is very bright and quiet as it facing 2 courtyard with trees. We are a well travelled franco american family that got our place equiped the way we want to travel ourselves to make your life easier: Excellent bedding, washer + drier, all kitchen equipment (sodastream , nespresso machine, hair iron, baby accessories, baby carrier backpack etc.). Each bedrooms have its own TV, and wifi is optical fiber. It is located 1' away from 2 subway lines ( line 12 North/South an line 2 East/West) and 3 buses lines to visit all monuments with no trouble ( itinerary guide is suggested). Recently renovated by an architect, it kept its classic touch as it has parquet floors, molded ceilings but has modernity thanks to the designers furniture (Philippe Starck, P. Urquiola, Kartell, etc...), antics and authentic classic advertising from the 1930’s (you will love them !!). You will feel at home in a incredibly quiet bubble as it opens on 2 courtyards with trees in front of the windows. Very bright (5th floor), you will enjoy the its relaxing atmosphere while being in the center of the very trendy neighborhood "SoPi" It proposes: 1- a master bedroom with a queen size bed, TV and a large dressing. 2- The second bedroom that can be set up either with a queen size bed size or 2 twin’s beds. 3- An extra sleeping in the living room with a (excellent mattress) pull out sofa that can sleep very comfortably 2 people (queen size). One baby bed is also available if needed. 4- The large bathroom has a walk-in shower and all required accessories to feel pretty and ready (hair dryer, curler, laundry washer, laundry drier etc.) The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances to cook fantastic French dinner. Neighbourhood: Our appartment is located in the 9th, the real Paris, in the 'trendy' SOPI - South Pigalle that the NY times describes as ' “There is no better place to rent an apartment and to pretend, even for a brief time, to live in Paris.” Walkable distance to Montmartre, sacre coeur Moulin Rouge, Place des Abbesses, Opera, Galerie Lafayette, Louvre, and the garden of the museum of the vie romantique! Historically, this neighbourhood, famous in 19th Century literature, was called the 'New Athens' as most of the intellectuals of the era were living there at the time: Hugo, Chopin, Sand,Gauguin etc… while less wealthy artists were living in Montmartre. This unique intellectual energy and the mosaic of people living here, makes it one of the neighbourhoods valued by the Parisians to live. It has been celebrated by the New York Times as the 'real Paris’ off the standard tourist track. This neighbourhood is a unique one, which explains the limited number of apartments that are available. Today, many young, talented fashion designers have located in this neighbourhood and are side by side with authentic food store and the numerous guitar shops. The famous 'rue des Martyrs' is 5mn away proposing one of the best and authentic choices in term of food shopping and real Parisian fooding (NY times describes it as 'the last real street in Paris.”). Transportation: Very well located to discover Paris, it is connected to most of the key neighbourhoods by 2 subway lines that covers Paris from North to South (line 12) and east /west (line 2) and 3 buses (30/54/40) will take you directly to the Champs Elysees, the Louvre, the top of Montmartre, the left bank etc.. Adjacent to the building, you will find a grocery store open every day until late (very unique in Paris) and one of the best fooding stage in Paris. Very large and light nicely decorated with fun lighting and spotless. Our host was very kind even offering extra nights at reduced rates when our travel was compromised by protests on both ends. The only issue is the shock of all the sex shops in the area. But what the heck! Just avoid that area. The rest of the neighborhood was very cool and we loved exploring a new region. ##### Dave D. The location in Pigalle couldn’t have been better - plenty of shops and excellent restaurants, plus barely a block from the Metro. Because it’s such a popular neighborhood, there were people out every night and it felt very safe. The apartment was clean and well stocked, plus check in and out was a breeze. The only slightly negative thing I could say is that the building seems to be under renovation, so the stairs were a bit difficult to navigate (covered in paper) and the WiFi was spotty. So just be aware of that if you need a fast internet connection for work. Otherwise, 10 out of 10 would book this apartment again! ##### Cindy G. Location was great- just 2 minutes from the Pigalle Metro station. The property met our expectations. It was as described on the listing and was clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable and the shower was better than most. I would definitely recommend this property. Check in was a breezy and the on site laundry worked wonderfully. Streets around may be busy but we didn’t have any issue with noise. We were even able to hear the bells from the nearby church each night. Traveling with teens, I was worried about having enough room for everyone but it was not an issue. It is comfortable, clean and well stocked. The host, Diane, is responsive and helpful. Pigalle is a trendy Paris neighbourhood, full of restaurants shops and boulangeries. It was a fabulous apartment to come back to as a respite from the hustle of Paris in early autumn. Everything we needed was in the apartment. We could cook at home to keep some of our travel costs down. The host was very responsive and welcoming. We were met at the apartment, which made it an easy check-in process. This is high quality accommodation, very comfortable and well equipped. Comfortable beds and furnishings, great bathroom and great kitchen. The apartment is ideally located for getting around Pari by foot, bus or metro. Communication with the host is always prompt and positive, with helpful suggestions on what to do and where to go. My family of 4 (child. 15,11) stayed for 3 nights, first-time in Paris, no French. We could not have stayed in a more perfect place. Everything about the aparment made us feel that we were in Paris, from the beautiful windows to the inner courtyard, the tasteful art and furniture, and all the tiny welcoming and thoughtful details throghout the apartment, which was fully equipped. Our stay was short, but we never felt that we were wasting time when we were inside the apartment; as we were experiencing Paris within. - Diane, our host, provided a welcome guide before our visit with many useful tips about the neighborhood, transportation, Paris culture, suggestions for movies, books, apps, details about the appliances, wi-fi, and apartment how-tos. She arranged for Rose to greet us when we arrived and show us how to get in through the double set of doors. Diane was responsive prior to and during our visit for our questions.-The beds were very comfortable. Our daughters slept on two individual beds that were narrower than the twin size they are used to in the US, but they did not have any issues with that. -The bathroom was great, color-coded towels, great shower, the washer/dryer were great (though longer cycles). -Fully stocked kitchen, beautiful dining room.-Location - secure, peaceful, steps away from Metro and bus lines, grocery store on same block, stores nearby, walking distance to Sacre-Coeur. -Note it is 5 flights up - tiny elevator for bags,1-2 people. ##### Catalina S.
