The trendy Bastille district is renowned for its peaceful yet lively lifestyle, and its eponymous opera house, the city's main attraction. Independent boutiques rub shoulders with trendy establishments on Rue de Charonne, you'll be at the heart of a booming shopping and dining district that stretches between Place de la République and Place de la Nation. The coulée verte René-Dumont, a peaceful, leafy promenade, has replaced a former elevated railroad line, while the famous Aligre market offers food and antiques.  
  
Public transport is 5 minutes walk to Bastille:
