The hotel itself is fine. Rooms were well maintained and quiet. The property, once you got in it, was nice. The problem is that the hotel abuts on one of the worst neighborhoods in the city. You go in the wrong direction and you see unbelievable amounts of open drug use and squalor. That kind of ruined the experience for us.

The main positive of Hotel Monopol is its location—it’s right next to Frankfurt Central Station, making transit seamless. Beyond that, the stay was very disappointing.
