"The Ivory Haus is a really cool place to stay. When you enter, there are log fires burning, friendly and attentive staff and a view over the bay from the 2 story outdoor terrace area. We were also given a free upgrade to a lovely spacious suite. The food and drinks are also great so we felt no need to go anywhere else at night"

Plett Quarter Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"This was a great hotel to land for a couple nights in Plettenberg. The staff was delightful especially upon our arrival we were a bit frazzled from a long drive and Kima greeted us to help us Park and get our bags to our room. The in Hotel restaurant is excellent, we ate the oxtail and the breakfast is fabulous. Two doors away is a place called 11 that we rented bikes from. The property is clean and we had a City View Suite that had plenty of room to spread out and a balcony. The property is clean and has excellent security! We would absolutely stay here again."

"This hotel was incredible. The location is excellent, the hotel itself is quite interesting and there are many places to explore, the food and drink were excellent - as were the staff who provided them, the room was remarkable. This is a must-stay hotel if you are considering staying in the area. I would return in a heartbeat if travels bring me there - and I would bring as many as I could."

This period also generally avoids the peak tourist season, meaning you can enjoy popular attractions with fewer people and often find better value on accommodation and activities. For those who enjoy whale watching, the period from June to November is ideal, as this is when Southern Right Whales migrate to the coastal waters of the Western Cape to calve.
