Nice hotel and a good location in town and short drive to many wineries (5 minute walk to restaurants). Quiet. Outdoor private hot tub is not heated (so was not really useable in October).

The staff was excellent. We really like our pool view room (quiet). The included breakfast was good. We had one dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was very good. The internet is poor and the tv channels don’t have many (news outlets only) English options.

A small, first class and very well presented hotel centrally located in a quiet street. Beautifully maintained to a very high standard throughout.
My bedroom was a decent size with a balcony. Good quality linen.
The bathroom was also a very decent size equipped with up market toiletries and with a roomy walk-in shower.
Light and airy dining room. External dining also possible in a delightful and interesting courtyard.
Excellent breakfast well presented and with a wide choice of options.
Friendly and helpful staff who maintained the high quality standards of the hotel and were a pleasure to deal with.
I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent hotel.

"We had a lovely time at Axel. Loved the breakfast choices and the staff were always kind and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was an Axel opening in Crete and I hope it becomes a solid gay destination.
