We didn’t get to stay long but the staff and everything was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and really made our first night in Scotland something to remember, even with our late arrival. Highly recommend!

I was genuinely impressed by this hotel. We checked in later in the day, and our family suite exceeded expectations. It was perfect for our trip, with exceptionally comfortable beds, high-quality bedding, plush towels, and thoughtful amenities that rivaled what you would expect from a five-star city hotel. The bathroom was immaculate and appeared to have been recently renovated, while the furnishings and décor struck the perfect balance between refined comfort and the charm of a cozy Scottish country inn. The staff was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant was also a highlight, offering excellent food and a full bar in a relaxed and inviting setting. I would especially recommend taking advantage of breakfast and dinner—the quality of the food and the service were outstanding. Its proximity to the river and the surrounding scenery only add to its charm—the setting looks as though it could have come straight out of A River Runs Through It. I highly recommend it and would gladly return in the future.

Hotel needs some TLC. Carpets showing obvious signs of wear. No air conditioning. Shower head loose and unable to adjust. Shower control fell off. Ragged edge on control handle caused a cut on finger. Room door ‘rattled’ loudly as it had too much play. Poor nights sleep. Breakfast poor quality, buffet cool. Generally overpriced for quality delivered. Made my dissatisfaction known to reception, was told ‘it is an old property’.
